      • Gongwer Legislative New ServiceLegislative news service that covers state and national legislative news. Publishes Michigan Report. Site has some pertinent legislative information available on public website.
      • Fedstats More than 70 agencies in the United States Federal Government produce statistics of interest to the public. The Federal Interagency Council on statistical Policy maintains this site to provide easy access to the full range of statistics and information produced by these agencies for public use. Includes National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS) that provides information for use in policy development and policies to improve the health of the American people. As the Nation's principal health statistics agency, NCHS leads the way with accurate, relevant, and timely data. The intent of this site is to provide users access to the health information that NCHS produces. Users can browse the publications and statistical tables, download selected public-use data files, conduct on-line database queries and searches in Wonder, track progress toward Healthy People 2000 Objectives, or access FASTATS from A-Z. The site also contains information about each NCHS survey and data system, special programs and activities, up coming seminars, conferences, and training, as well as links to other sites.

      • American Health Planning Association A non-profit organization committed to the creation of health policies and systems which assure access for all people to quality care at a reasonable cost.
      • Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services (CMS) The federal agency that administers the Medicare, Medicaid and Child Health Insurance Programs. HCFA provides health insurance for over 74 million Americans through Medicare, Medicaid and Child Health. The majority of these individuals receive their benefits through the fee-for-service delivery system, however, an increasing number are choosing managed care plans. In addition to providing health insurance, HCFA also performs a number of quality-focused activities, including regulation of laboratory testing (CLIA), surveys and certification, and quality-of-care improvement.

      • MEPs - HCUP and other AHCPR Data The Medical Expenditure Panel Survey (MEPS) is a nationally representative survey of health care use, expenditures, sources of payment, and insurance coverage for the U.S. civilian noninstitutionalized population, as well as a national survey of nursing homes and their residents. MEPS is co-sponsored by the Agency forHealth Care Policy and Research (AHCPR) and the National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS). This survey is designed to yield comprehensive data that estimate the level and distribution of health care use and expenditures, monitor the dynamics of the health care delivery and insurance systems, and assess health care policy implications.       • National Association of County and City Health Officials National Association of County and City Health Officials represents the nation’s county and city health departments. NACCHO has a wide network by health topic.
      • National Conference of State Legislatures The conference was founded in 1975 in the belief that legislative service is one of democracy's worthiest pursuits. Representing the citizens of a district and the people of a state is the very essence of free government. The National Conference of State Legislatures is a bipartisan organization dedicated to serving the lawmakers and staffs of the nation's 50 states, its commonwealths and territories. The Conference is a source for research, publications, consulting services, meetings and seminars. It is the national conduit for lawmakers to communicate with one another and share ideas.       • National Health Law Program The National Health Law Program advocates for justice in health care for low income people. The site contains an "Advocates Guide to Medicaid" written by an attorney.
      • Occupational Sfty & Hlth Administration The stated mission of OSHA is to save lives, prevent injuries and protect the health of America's workers. To accomplish this, federal and state governments must work in partnership with the more than 100 million working men and women and their six and a half million employers who are covered by the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970.
